Christ has no body now on earth but yours,
no hands but yours,
no feet but yours,
yours are the eyes through which Christ’s compassion
is to look out to the earth,
yours are the feet by which He is to go about doing good
and yours are the hands by which He is to bless us now.
– St Teresa of Avila
As we read this poem by St Teresa of Avila we should reflect on what it is to be a “Catholic”. Something easy to forget is that as Catholics we have to do much more than just going to Mass on a Sunday.
It is our duty and our mission to do the work of Christ on earth. We are the people who can bring Our Lord to others, Jesus works through us to bring others to his Church.
