Steve Sandoval took on the position of Elementary RE coordinator in July of 2016. Steve is married to Jessica Sandoval and together they have four kids. Steve is a veteran of 21 years and served in the US Army, Army Reserve and Utah Air National Guard. On assignment to Fort Polk Louisiana Steve found himself deployed to Honduras in 2002 where he met a Franciscan Priest. Over the course of six months he had the opportunity to study Salvation History. Steve’s assignment to the medical group led him to service of both the US military and the people of Honduras. He became involved in ministry to support orphanages and retreats for military members. A ministry was born.
Upon His return to Fort Polk, LA, Steve began to teach classes for the Junior High students. This continued when Jessica and Steve arrived at Hill AFB in 2003. Since then Steve has taught Elementary RE, Jr. High, Sr. High, Adults and continues to learn about the Catholic faith through conferences and the VCLFF University of Dayton certification programs. Other ministries include: Utah Air National Guard Strong Bonds marriage retreat program, Men’s ministry at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Boy, Girl and Cub Scouts on Hill AFB. Steve’s full time employment is as an engineer with GE Healthcare specializing in MRI. He and his family live in West Point Utah.
