Jessica and Steve Sandoval were brought to Hill AFB by active duty Army. Steve worked for the United States Army Medical Material Agency until August 2005 when he left active service. They spent six years as an Army Reserve Family and have changed services to become Air National Guard. Utah is now their home. In 2004 the Sandoval’s became a foster to adopt home and currently have six children: three natural and three adopted. Jessica, having lived the role of an Army wife for 10 years has been involved in many community programs acting as God’s hands. In 2003-2004, Jessica served on the Davis County Head Start policy council. She has held positions as a Family Support Group council member, head start volunteer, and FCC provider. Jessica has also taken on an active role with the Girl Scouts as the Lakeview Service Unit event director. She develops quality events for the Girls scouts of Hill AFB and the surrounding community. Jessica and Family came to Hill AFB in June of 2003. Since arriving at Hill, Jessica has served the community as a 5th grade and special sacraments catechist. Husband Steve also taught 3rd grade. In 2004 she became involved with the Life Teen / Edge Ministry. In May of 2006 she became a certified Catechist. In August 2006 Jessica accepted the position of youth ministry coordinator. A teacher at heart, Jessica has many callings and directs the S.P.I.N (Serving People In Need) ministry.
Outside of the parish, Jessica is a Cub Scout Den Leader and Girl Scout Troop Leader. Steve is Scoutmaster for Troop 55, Hill AFB. Together with their team of catechist they seek to lead teens closer to Christ.
